Any time you travel western Canada it’s an adventure. We’ve traveled the Yukon and Alcan Highway several times in the winter and summer. In the winter months snow, snow covered roadways, lakes, rivers, forest and hoar frost obviously change the dynamics. With the shorter days in winter, the Yukon can show off some incredible sunrises and sunsets. Although, the wildlife seems to be around every corner, caution is required as they enter and cross the highway at a seconds notice. The Yukon Territory is very much a wilderness and can even be a little intimidating to travel but the stunning and naturally beautiful views make it well worth the road trip. I would welcome any comments you have on this photo or blog.
