March 2023 Featured Photo – Frosty Stones, Alaska

One area of Photography I love is Macro photos. I plan to feature some of those with “MACRO MARCH” this month. Making the photo sometimes requires a tripod, on the average I just do handheld shots. Choosing an interesting subject is key, but the shot has to be clean, clearly focused and very detailed, well you get the picture. Macroscapes as with any good photo must be able to tell it’s own story and speak for itself. It should have crisp color pallets and artistic value with unique content. In this featured photo I waited for the right freezing temperatures and hoar frost to appear. This shot was on the beach of Cook Inlet so it also had to be low tide as well. Changing, fleeting moments is always part of Macroscapes Photography. I hope you enjoy this months Feature photo and I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.

All the best,
