Everyone loves waterfalls, right? There’s that “song” of course about Dont Go Chasing Waterfalls. And, there’s all shapes and sizes. On this particular camping roadtrip, I was after a couple things like “a waterfall shot” plus I’d never been to Dunn Falls before and as always I like to compose my own photo with my own twist. The night before was below freezing so the waterfall cliff still had some ice hanging on. This particular morning was very bright and I was competing with the sunlight. But, in this photo it actually helps. I was after that milky, smooth silky look and used manual settings. After several tries it finally came together. Willow, my pointer lab and I got to play in the water some and it turned out to be a perfect day. The old mill is awesome and has lots of antique implements and features from the late 1800’s. I hope you enjoy this months Feature photo and I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.
Happy Trails,
