Arctic Ringed Seal – North Slope, Alaska

2-44 ARCTIC RINGED SEAL_smOn this day, being in the Outdoors on the North Slope on the coast line of the Beaufort Sea, always heightens attention to Polar bear watch. So, I was not actually looking for a Ringed Seal. Obviously, with no bears in sight I was excited and concerned about the seals safety from polar bears as I couldn’t see a seal hole.  It must have been behind seal, it just showed up. It’s just not normal for an adult seal to venture on the sea ice without an escape.  As always in the great outdoors you never know what the wildlife will be or if they’ll show up for a photo. I’d love to hear your comments about this photo.
